The Guzmão Family designed and built the Hotel Pousada Colina de Pedra and it opened in July of 2004. The mother, Dona Tania, was the architect of the project, designing all of the buildings and the landscaping. Brothers Tito and Andre complete, and together the family ran the business, acting as hosts, chefs, vintners and concierges. The family enjoyed developing the pousada into a warm, welcoming place for all to visit.

Craig Snively and Ana Maria (Anita) Bertone, bought the pousada in December of 2005. We have been married for 3 years and living in the US and decided to we wanted to work together as a couple, sharing our place and our lives with people from around the world..

We met the Guzmão's this past summer when we visited them. We had a wonderful stay at the pousada and it was at that time we decided to buy the property. Anita is from Uruguay and is also a Brasilian citizen, so for her it is a homecoming of sortsr, but it was Craig that said lets do it.
